Dead Like Me Will Keep You Enthralled


Dead like Me: Life After Death is a fantasy movie released in 2009. The film is directed by Stephen Herek and written by Bryan Fuller. The story of the film revolves around a group of Reapers in Seattle whose job is to collect the souls of people about to die.

These Reapers lose their boss and their common meeting place when it (Der Waffle Haus restaurant) burns down. Soon however, the group receives its new leader in the form of Cameron Kane who died in the bombing of World Trade Center in 2001. George works at an office and bites an incompetent employee, who sues her for harassment. Georgia, or George as she is lovingly called, died five years ago by a flying toilet seat and her mother Joy is still depressed about the incident. Joy works as a counselor to parents who have lost their children because of accidents. Reggie is George’s younger sister who is a High School student dating Hudson. Hudson faces an accident and is hospitalized. Reggie is shown running into George several times. George readies Reggie for the death of Hudson. Reggie asks George to move in, but Joy scolds her as she believes that George is long dead. George reaps Hudson. Depressed, Reggie attempts suicide in George’s car. George stops her, but now Reggie realizes she can no longer see George.

In the end, George’s boss, who is also dead, tells George that the employee who sued her had a previous record of doing so, and so George is being reinstated, promoted and given a new office.
