Iron Man 2, A Must Watch

Directed by John Favreau, Iron Man 2 is one of the greatest movies to watch this year of 2010. This action paced movie picks up from the where Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jar) left off in initially film. During this time, he had disclosed that he was indeed, the iron man. After his confessions, the military are hell bent to snatch the suit away from him but he on the other hand, is determined to hold on to it claiming that he can never be separated from it and if it happens then there would be no difference between him and the person who gives away their soul. This does not auger well with the top powers which in this case is the United States as they argue that the suit is a powerful weapon that should not be owned by an average man.

Stark life is also in danger as the elements used to keep his heart pounding are reacting negatively and his attempts to find a suitable replacement have not borne any fruits. Due to this, he appoints a new CEO, Pepper Potts to manage Stark industries as he believes that his end is near. His woes are not yet over as his worst rival in the financial and business arena, Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rourke) is also out to destroy him and is building a device which is supposed to destroy Stark once and for all. It turns out that Vanko is the son of the Russian physicist Anton Vanko who had once worked with Starks father.

In essence Iron Man 2 is all about the triumph of good over evil and what having large egos that cannot be satisfied goes a long way in destroying people. It is also about having mercy and adhering to fate as it befalls you. Though the movie might not live up to its predecessor, it most definitely is a must watch.
