You Can’t Escape the Bounty Hunter

Because the bounty hunter is charged with brining in his ex-wife who jumped bail, it is extremely funny to watch the dynamic between the two. Not only do we have a male bounty hunter bringing in a female criminal. We have the ex-husband bringing in the ex-wife. What could be a funnier idea for a romantic comedy than this? Gerard Butler has some enormous talent, and we saw this in 300, but he reprises his penchant for emotional acting with this well-suited role.

There is constant bickering which has multiple layers because of the ex-husband and ex-wife dynamic as well as the criminal fugitive escapee dynamic. There are car chases, exclusive news stories, and twists and turns that are truly invigorating. This is an action-packed plot with romance and comedy so it is not your typical boring romantic comedy. She plays a feisty, fun, fantastic leading lady that reminds us all what we loved so much about her on Friends. She even brings back in that bossy touch that we loved from the show.

Both stars even did all their own stunts in this amazing display of acrobatic intensity that had audiences laughing, talking, and squeezing their seats in anticipation of what was going to happen next. This movie is a guilty pleasure and a joy ride which you’ll never come back from.

The character, Gerard Butler, plays his characteristically self-possessed, stubborn, selfish, annoying, macho funny man against the equally egotistical bossy Jennifer Aniston character, and the movie is perfectly well-cast because the dynamic of him always trying to control her sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t Each time that it doesn’t work out, she claims the lead, and each time that it does, he is on top again. This dynamic which oscillates back and forth in such a dramatic manner provides a nonstop laugh ride where they end up having to spend 4th of July weekend together.

They’re even pursued by two other characters to add in an element of intrigue into an otherwise funny plot. This subplot makes the movie even funnier. Theypre pursued by mobsters and a hit man.
