Plot Summary:

If you like to see biographical movies depicting human grit, you are going to love 127 Hours. It is one hell of a movie of a mountaineer who finds himself trapped under a boulder and fights for his survival for days at length with nothing but his grit and determination. Directed by Danny Boyle of Slumdog Millionaire fame, 127 Hours is also written by him and Simon Beaufoy. The film stars James Franco, Amber Tamblyn and Kate Mara. The film has been appreciated by the audiences wherever it has been released and also won the approval of the critics. The film belongs to the genre of adventure and drama and is so gripping that it keeps the audiences spellbound for its entire duration.

Based upon a true story, 127 Hours talks about a mountain climber, Aron Ralston, who suddenly finds himself trapped under a large boulder that falls on his arm, injuring him in the process. He has nobody in sight to ask for help as he is in an isolated canyon in Utah. For five long days, he frantically tries to save himself finding himself in inclement weather. He musters all the courage needed for survival, and finally, without any help extricates self from the boulder. He then scales a 65 foot wall and hikes for over 8 miles before he is rescued. All through the trauma he suffers, he keeps on remembering people such as his love, his friends and family as well as two hikers he met just before the accident.

The 127 Hours movie shows that nothing is impossible if we have courage and conviction in our belief. The story is original, and very thrilling indeed. Against all odds, the will to survive triumphs and this is what the film wishes to convey to the audiences. This is a must watch film.
