Plot Summary:

A Bronx Tale movie is another great movie based on the gangster theme. It seems like the fascination of Robert De Niro for those movies was beneficial for the viewers. In fact, just imagine the gangster’s movies such as Godfellas or Godfather without Robert De Niro. A Bronx Tale is another one of those movies. However, for this one, De Niro is also the director. Along with a great Chazz Palminteri as Sonny, the story can be considered one of the best movies ever made.

The action of the movie takes place in the Ney York neighborhood Bronx. This time, De Niro plays Lorenzo Anello, father of Calongero, a child that tries to make a name in the world of Mafia. De Niro is only a bus driver, and he is determined to remain honest for the rest of his life. On the other hand, the mirage of money and fame attracts young Calogero in this dangerous world. The situation becomes really complicated when Calogero meets Jane, a black woman. As racial hate was a huge problem in those days, Calogero must choose between his father and his mentor on one hand, and between his love and his gangster career on the other.

Unlike Godfellas and Godfather, A Bronx Tale is a movie to download which tries to be a moralistic story proving that a life of stealing and robbing won’t do any good. Moreover, the debut of De Niro as a director can be considered a real success. Sure, you can find many techniques borrowed from Martin Scorsese, but this movie can’t be considered a second-tier Scorsese movie, as De Niro manages to introduce his own views and opinions about the subject.

De Niro also successfully manages to describe the racial tensions from that period, making the love story between Calogero and Jane credible. De Niro proves the same skill in front of the camera and behind it, making a great part also, besides a great directing. Moreover, the producers were inspirational choosing Palminteri as Sonny, a new but powerful name for gangster stories. The backgrounds and the inspirational choice of the neighborhood add more charm and credibility to the story. In fact, the efforts of De Niro with A Bronx Tale movie downloads were rewarded with some prizes, such as the Sant Jordi Awards.

However, the movie also has his contestants. It seems like the scenarists and the director were not able to add anything new to the theater play with the same name, so if you have seen the play and you are expecting something new, you will be disappointed. However, Palminteri got in love with the story, and he is still playing it on the Broadway. Whether you would like to see it, it is your decision, but the movie is a must see.
