Plot Summary:

11-year old Coraline Jones is a very curious and active girl. She has just moved to Oregon from the other city together with her parents. So she felt extremely lonely without her old friends. Her parents have been working all day long and Caroline is left to herself. She tries to search for some entertainment around her. There is a 11-year local guy Wybie Lovat who seems rather annoying to her. There are also some neighbors she visits who seem too active and tiresome to her as well. For example, two actresses living together have odd habits and Russian man Mr. Bobinsky looks like a spider. After such unpleasant visits she strongly believes that she will not find anything amusing in her new life. What happens next drives her crazy. The house where she lives with her parents has a secret door and Caroline is very interested what it exists for. She manages to open and walk through it. There she finds absolutely the other world where she feels rather comfortable. This parallel reality doesn’t almost differ from her real world except some peculiarities. She also has a mother and a father there, they are very glad she’s there but at the same time they are very strange. All the parallel world turns around her and a little girl likes it very much. But what is the real aim of this parallel reality? Is Caroline able to return to her previous existence?
