Plot Summary:
The events happening in the film relate to the year of 1964. Bronx is the central place where Father Flynn, a friendly and very influential prest, wants to change the moral and narrow measures of school into free ones. Sister Aloysius Beauvier is a passionate keeper of old traditions who gets much sopport from a Principal, a man with old school views. He thinks that students should appreciate his power over them. Donald Miller becomes a stumbling-block in strained relations between a freedom lover and teachers. He is the first black-skinned student to be accepted to this school. It is connected with political situation that suddenly appeared to raise America. When Sister James and Sister Aloysius discuss how Father Flynn behaves himself with the new boy they find it rather distrustful. He spends much time with him and it pushes Sister Aloysius on making a terrible step - to make recreant priest leave school forever. Though she has no any substantiation she starts a struggle against Father Flynn who is not going to lose the battle. The school is on the edge of religion and moral separation that promises no good to each future.
