Plot Summary:
"Don" Vito Corleone is a head of the “mafia” in the city of New York. The plot starts when his daughter gets married. He also has a son Michael whom he loves most of all. He has just returned from war and wants to join his family business. Spectators get to know about this business through description of Michael’s life. The business looks like his family structure: those who know the rules and keep them are respectful, but those who go against the family purpose are violently punished. Don Vito Corleone is conservative; he lives according to the old country structure. But times have changed and so have done some people who don’t want to obey the old and proved rules. Soon there comes a Corleone family’s rival who is going to start his drug selling business in New York. But he cannot do anything without Don’s word. Life demands very much to pay, especially from Don’s son Michael. Old world is ruined, Don’s values are destroyed, but the family purpose is above everything in life.
