Plot Summary:
The story takes place in St. Michael's Hospital Goatswood in Connecticut. One of patients Matt Campbell agreed to take experimental treatment in order to get rid of cancer. Dr. Brooks who is his doctor told him to stop treatment if he starts seeing something unusual. His mother Sara is a very religious person. She spends much time with him because he feels bad all the time. They go to Connecticut for almost eight hours. Sara realizes that it’s too far to drive and offers her husband to move there to live. Sara manages to find a house at reasonable price. She wants to know why the price is so low and the owner says that in the past there was a funeral home there. Sara makes up her mind not to tell Peter this news. They start living in the house. Matt is treated and aids to Reverend Popescu having the cancer as well. Matt starts seeing odd things and people. He is frightened and calls Reverend Popescu to explain what is going on. He tells that it was a ghost trapped in this house. They both could see it because they took medicine that brought them to the edge of their world where dead people live.
