Plot Summary:
An orb, brought by the astronaut to his daughter, leads to consequences predicted by no one. This orb colored in green is glowing and murders this careful father. His small daughter is subservient to this mysterious thing. It is called Loc-Nar and it shows different odd images to the poor girl who cannot control herself. These images symbolized the power of Loc-Nar over events that happen in the surrounding. For example, the story about Harry Canyon who is a taxi driver showed his being involved in the story. Working in New York he meets a woman who is pursued by criminals. They want to get that Loc-Nar that she has got as her father archeologist has found it. The following story concerns Den. This story is about a boy who finds himself in imaginary world called Neverwhere. There he turns into a strong and muscled man whom women adore and follow all the time. But he gets involved in events concerning Loc-Nar getting and possessing. Next story is about Captain Sternn. He is a handsome man but still a real rascal. He is accused in some events that Loc-Nar is related to. The name of the fourth story is B-17. The events in this story take place during the Second World War. A bomber plane tries to get to the native land as soon as possible. Its only goal is to get Loc-Nar in order to raise members of plane crew who are all dead. The fifth story is called So Beautiful, So Dangerous. A robot mad about sex and alien made of stone make a plan and steal a secretary from the well-protected Pentagon. The sixth story is the last one. It is about Taarna who lives on the Earth in the future. Loc-Nar comes there as well. He wants to turn the Earth inhabitants into cruel living beings. Their aim gets to kill each other. Only one person – Taarna – is able to take revenge over Loc-Nar and stop its atrocities.
