Plot Summary:
Coming from Dreamworks, this animation boosts dazzling dramatic depths and 3-D sequence making it one of the best animation movies ever. The story revolves around Hiccup, a Viking teenager who does not fit with their tribes traditions of heroic drag on slayers. Their village is often attacked by dragons that steal food and set things on fire and the villagers strive to fight them of by use of weapons. Hiccup then shoots off a bolas shooting canon that hits a dragon out of the night sky and it land on the woods. The villagers do not believe this and Hiccup is prompted to go and look f or it the next day. He finds a deadly and rare Night fury which he can’t bring himself to kill he releases it and the dragon flies off through the tree.
Hiccup and the dragon whom he named Toothless, start a rare friendship that enables them to open up their world. The boy learns the way his people have misjudged the species and they together strive to fight the destructive ignorance of the people in their world. The battle that ensues sees a lot of destruction and even Hiccup gets injured by the giant dragon. Later the village is full of dragons that are pets to the Vikings and is beginning a new alliance between the two species.
