Plot Summary:

Inception is a sci-fi thriller which was originally planned to be a horror film but later changed into a heist film. It is a film written, produced and directed by Christopher Nolan.

Leonardo Di Caprio plays the role of Dominic Cobb who is a skilled thief of a different kind. He has the rare ability to go inside the dreams of other persons and steal all the secret information from there. He is a master at extracting info from the minds of people when they are most vulnerable; in their dreams. Though he has many admirers, Cobb has also made a lot of enemies because of his extraordinary talent. He is unable to visit his wife and children, and one man offers him a chance for this visit if he performs a task one last time. The task is not to steal any information, but to plant an idea in the mind of a man. This man is a Japanese energy tycoon, Saito, who wants the empire of his rival broken down to pieces. He wants Cobb to plant the idea of selling his firm in the mind of the rival.

Cobb, in a last ditch attempt to break free from the police and the FBI, agrees to perform the impossible, the inception of an idea. He takes the services of his team to enter the drams of Saito’s competitor. Cobb plans three layers of dreams to achieve this impossible task. Fisher, who is the competitor of Saito, is forced by Cobb to dream inside dream. The things go awry, and the deception becomes ever so complex in Cobb’s endeavor. Cobb reaches a point of no return, a place where he has to confront his own feelings and emotions. He is left wondering in the end as to what is real and what only a dream is.
