Plot Summary:

Clyde Shelton is shocked when he discovers terrible news – while his wife and daughter were at home, someone got here and murdered them in a most cruel way. The murderers have been caught soon. A young prosecutor from Philadelphia Nick Rice got the case. He tries to be as objective as possible but his chef makes him make the sentence less in exchange for data about his accomplice. After ten years this man has been found killed. Clyde Shelton says that it is him to blame. Soon after that he puts a condition to Nick Rice: either he punishes everyone who is connected with the case or all people mentioned there will be murdered. Clyde is not lying. After the warning, strange and horrible murders start happening. No one can say who will be next and no one can prove someone’s guilty. The entire city is in panic. People realize that he punishes people who really deserve it on one hand but on the other hand Shelton starts being uncontrolled. Authorities proved to be useless solving the problem. Nick is the only one who can prevent events, so he has to play according to Shelton’s rules. The competition is cruel; every wrong step done can lead to death. Time is against Nick and a competitor seems to be more skillful and experienced.
