Let Me In is a superb fantasy movie with a dose of horror that has been directed by Matt Reeves. Matt has also written the movie along with John Ajvide Lindqvist. The film stars Kodi Smit-McPhee, Chloe Moretz and Richard Jenkins. The film has been awarded an R rating for blood and gore. The film tells the story of a 12 year old boy, Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee) who befriends a mysterious girl who later turns out to be a vampire. This is a thought provoking film that is sure to be loved by those who like fantasy movies and horror.

Owen is one boy who feels threatened in all circumstances and is bullied by his classmates. He is even neglected by his parents who are divorcing. The boy is all day planning to take revenge on his classmates and also spying upon the activities of other residents in the apartment. He feels lonely and acts strange with everyone. In short, he has a troubled personality. He develops friendship with a new girl who is his neighbor. The girl lives with his father who is another mysterious character as he seldom speaks. Abby, the girl who is Owens new friend is even more mysterious as she steps out of her home at nights and that too barefoot. She is oblivious of her surroundings and even inclement weather as she roams outside her home.

There are gruesome murders in the city, and Abby’s father also disappears. She refuses Owen’s help. Owen suspects her to be hiding something and she eventually turns out to be a vampire.

Let Me In is a refreshing horror movie that keeps the audiences spellbound for its duration.
