Plot Summary:
Eric Bishop is the main character of the story described in the film. He works as a postman in Manchester. He has a midlife crisis and suffers from unpleasant changes in his life. His woman who had been released from jail several months ago had not returned to him. His step-sons continued living with him that brought many troubles to him as they were not obedient and nice. Ryan, an elder boy, got under the influence of a bad person and agreed to hide weapon in Eric’s house for some time. His daughter gave birth to a baby and the only pleasant thing in the situation was her request to start communicating with his ex-wife Lily. But he is not able to do it for a long period of time and he finds himself absolutely lonely and misunderstood. Eric has his own ideal - Eric Cantona – a famous footballer whose picture was hung on the wall. Suddenly this person appears in his life to assist in getting out of the corner. His politics consists in telling philosophical stories in order to help Eric realize something and find the best way out.
