Plot Summary:

The movie Machete follows a former Mexican Federal who works as a mercenary. After a drug deal went sour Machete played by Danny Trejo looks for employment in the state of Texas. He is approached by the business man Michael Benz played by Jeff Fahey. The job that he has for the mercenary refers to illegal immigration activities performed by a corrupt senator named McLaughlin (Robert de Niro). Machete accepts a payment of $150.000 to kill him.

The Mexican mercenary plans to shoot the senator at a political rally unaware that he is also a target. Men hired by Benz shot him in the shoulder. Benz's plan all along was to stage an assassination carried out by a Mexican immigrant so that the senator can gain political support for his anti-immigration policies.

Machete realizes that he played the part of the pawn and now looks for revenge. He also is the target of some people. The men of drug lord Torrez are still trying to hunt him down. An U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcements agent, Sartana played by Jessica Alba is in his pursuit.

In order take his revenge on Senator McLaughlin and his ally Benz, he realizes that he needs a team to rely on. His brother who was a Mexican Federal agent in the past joins him. He can also count on Luz (played by Michelle Rodriguez) – a skilled slinger.

Machete kidnaps Benz's daughter – April played by Lindsay Lohan. She takes a particular interest in helping the former Mexican Federal agent as she likes guns very much and he is quite good at using them.

Aside this new alliances, Machete gathers a group of illegal immigrants. This will help him have a widespread dangerous armed force to put in motion for his revenge plan. The game is on.
