Max Horowitz whom she has written lives in New York. He is quite fat and children make fun of him. He replies to the letter and sends in with the bar of chocolate as well. In such an unusual way they write to each other for twenty years with short breaks. They have their own lives, plans and hopes, they fall in love with some people who are close to them, look for jobs and overcome their problems. Do they have a chance to meet one day?
