Plot Summary:

Mean Streets Movie is the movie to download which is the story of Charlie, a guy that wants to make a future in the Little Italy. He works for his uncle, collecting money from the owners. Unfortunately, his uncle does not approve the love of Charlie for Teresa, as she is epileptic. As this was not complicated enough, he is also a friend with Teresa’s cousin Johnny Boy, a character that can’t stay out of trouble.

The movie is controversial and considered weak from movie critics and viewers at the same time. Maybe the biggest problem is the period of releasing. In the year 1973, people were used to great movies such as Godfather. Sure, Mean Streets Movie can’t compare with the Scorsese’s masterpiece, but it is surely a movie to see.

The critics are also accusing the linearity of the movie. The movie seems to stay on the same level for the whole duration, without a normal “crescendo” needed for this kind of action. However, Scorsese tried to create other kind of characters. While the subject of Mafia rulers and important faces was already worn, the talented director tried to create a different world, using small time gangsters with little importance in the hierarchy of the organization. As Martin Scorsese is an Italian director with deep roots in the Mafia world, the story of the apparently common world of that period is well described. However, those small “collections” made by small timers created the huge fortune of the Mafia. The Collectors were simple people having a little more courage. However, those collectors were always prepared for even more crimes, as this was the only method to advance in the organization.
De Niro makes a decent interpretation. As we are talking about the beginnings of his career, we could say that he is pretty good. On the other hand, Harvey Keitel creates a great character, a self-destructive person without any moral conducts. Even if you don’t like the action of the movie, seeing those two giants playing together is a reason for you to choose Mean Streets Movie and get it download. The soundtrack is also great, at least for the introduction “Be My Baby.”

The story is build around Charlie, a small mobster that must choose between his love, his friend, and his career. Some unknown facts about Mean Streets Movie download: the movie is inspired on the youth ages of Scorsese. The idea was given by another great director, John Cassavetes. After the failed movie Boxcar Bertha, Cassavetes told Scorsese: “you wasted one year of your lifetime to direct this piece of crap.” As Scorsese still had many ideas to communicate to the world, he came up with this idea about making a movie inspired by his life.

The movie can’t be considered a Scorsese’s masterpiece. Even if the movie can’t be compared with Godfather or other movies inspired by the same era, it is still a must-see for every movie passionate.
