Plot Summary:

If you like thrillers, My Soul To Take will take you by a storm. This is a wonderful thriller directed by Wes Craven who has also written it. The film has some very good actors such as Max Thieriot, John Magaro and Denzel Whitaker. The film tells the story of a serial killer who swore 16 years ago that he would return one day to the sleepy town of Riverton. No one knows the whereabouts of the serial killer. There are rumors that he has already died while some believe he will return. People of the small town of Riverton are terrified about the fate of seven children who were born on the day the serial killer was supposedly killed or died.

16 years have passed, and people have started to disappear. Has the killer taken reincarnation as one of the seven teens? No one knows the answer to this conundrum. Bug is one of the teens who is actually the son of the serial killer, known as Abel the ripper. All the teens perform a ritual to keep ripper away. However, before Bug can destroy the replica of ripper, police arrives and all the teens run away. One of them, jay Chan, while crossing the bridge is stabbed in the stomach by the ripper and thrown in the river. Another of the teen, Penelope gets killed at school the next day. Ripper kills two more teenagers and throws their bodies in water. Police recovers the bodies and suspects Bug to be the killer. Bug finally confronts ripper and kills him after a hard fought battle.

The film is excellent in building up the suspense and the audiences do not have a moment of respite in the film. The direction is superb and there are some wonderful performance by the actors in the movie.
