A Nightmare on Elm Street Plot Summary:
Directed by Samuel Bayer, a Nightmare On Elm Street falls in the genre of horror or mystery movies and revolves around young adults who are stalked by death in their dreams. The mission is to avenge the murder of Freddy Kruger. Though none of the characters in the movie seem to recall each other, they are all doing in mysterious ways and through self inflicted injuries. One of the characters, Nancy Holbrook in a bid to find the answers to the related deaths begins digging for answers and it is during this process that she discovers that all the victims attended the same preschool.
Later, it turns out that Freddy was a gardener in the preschool and he had been accused of committing a crime against the children and for this reason, parents had hunted him down and burnt him alive. With the help of Quentin who was in the same preschool, Nancy tries to find a way to bring the nightmare to an end. As these two struggle to stay awake, they start dreaming while still awake due to insomnia and though they finally manage to lure Freddy from the dream world into reality to kill him, he still manages to kill Nancy mothers at the end of the movie.
