Plot Summary:
It’s the first movie of an inexperienced producer Jeremy Alter. Before “The Perfect Sleep” was only the featurette "The Godson". The plot of this film is intriguing and unrehearsed. A man without any name, who was a ruthless killer not long ago, returns to his native city. He left his house 10 years ago, but now the aim of his coming back is to rescue Porphyria – his beloved woman. They were friends since their childhood. Now she is married and has a baby, in spite of it he is still ready to make everything for rescuing the love of his life. Knowing as a “Mad Monk”, this man broke own promises – not come back to his place under all circumstances. For 10 years he tried to forget about crime and killing, but now he has to refresh memory about it for the love of Porphyria. His enemy’s name is Nikolai – the old man who raised him and even might be his father. He will fight against the father he turned his back 10 years ago. That’s the story about the mutual betrayal, people’s attitude, faithfulness and gentility falling. There are a lot of russian names in tnis movie. This fact and the plot itself is closely connected to russian famous author’s Dostoevskiy writings. Aside from the significant main character in this film we could find expressive supporting characters.
