Plot Summary:

The movie Robin Hood tells the story of a famous English archer which fought alongside Richard the Lionheart in the crusades and defended the poor of Nottingham.

Under the command of Sir Robert Loxley the knights bring home the King Richard's body and his crown. The convoy is attacked by Sir Godfrey's men which are trying to retrieve the crown. Robin, Little John and friends fight against the attackers. Robin's arrow reaches Sir Godfrey's cheek as the latter runs away. Robin promises to return the sword Loxley stole from his father.

In Nottingham, Lady Marion which was the victim of a grain theft asks of the church to support her requests for seeds to feed the people, but she is denied the aid.

Robin and his friends disguise themselves as knights and present the crown to the king's mother. She places it on Prince John's head declaring him King of England. Godfrey recognizes Robin and orders his men to kill him. Robin leaves the city heading to Nottingham.

Robin return the sword entrusted by Robert of Loxley to his father Walter of Loxley. The old man proposes him to impersonate Robert so Marion preserves the property.

Godfrey tells his French allies that they can attack England. To ease the process he starts collecting taxes and burning city after city where people are unable to pay thus causing chaos across England to weaken its defense. King John lets this military advisor go and grants the title to Godfrey unaware of his treason plan.

Meanwhile, Robin and Friar Tuck steal grains and plant them on the fields so that people can have something to eat further on.

Godfrey kills Walter of Loxley. Marion takes his sword and gives it to Robin.

King John prepares his army for battle. They are successful in chasing away the French army.

Robin kills Godfrey and saves Marion which participated in the battle disguised as a man. Envious of the way people look up to Robin, King John casts him and his friends away. They find shelter in Sherwood forest.
