Schindler’s List is a war film made by Steven Spielberg that is based upon one man’s courage and belief that made it possible for him to save more than a thousand lives during World War II in Poland. Oskar Scindler is a is a businessman who comes to Karkowa in Poland to start a factory to supply army kits to Nazi army. Germany has captured Poland and is systematically slaughtering all Jewish population. Schindler is a supporter of Nazis and bribes officials to acquire a factory. He takes help of Stern (Ben Kingsley) who is a Jew. Stern arranges a workforce of Jews for Oscar. These Jews even loan Oscar to start the production in return for a small portion of the produce to black market them. Oscar hires many, but Stern falsifies the list by claiming they are only as much as essential to run the factory. This saves a lot of them from being killed by Nazis.

Soon, orders from the army come to kill all Jews and this is when Oscar witnesses the massacre from his factory on the roads. Goth is the army officer whom Oscar befriends and bribes him to allow him to make a sub camp for his Jewish workers. But Berlin orders all Jews to be deported to Auschwitz and in a desperate attempt to save his workers, Oscar once again begs Goth to let him keep the workers in lieu of hefty sum for every worker. Oscar prepares a list of the workers that is falsified and transports them to another location. He finally is able to save more than a thousand lives. When Hitler loses and soviet Red Army arrives, Oscar, who is a Nazi supporter, has to flee to save his life. In the end, audiences are told that about 1100 men, women and children were saved by Oskar whose number has now grown to 6000.
