Plot Summary:

With a budget of over $100 million together with the responsibility of adapting a comic book superhero and legend, this Sam Raimi effort does not disappoint. It is a perfect combination of subject and director creating this extremely entertaining version of the world famous web-slinger, enough to satisfy every Spiderman fan, Sam Raimi fan and every other movie-goer who likes one hell of an exciting movie. Download Spiderman movie and experience this great adventure for yourself.

What is great about this movie is its capacity to cling onto somewhat dated movie values such as enticing characters you root for and movie plots which actually make sense. While still ensure that is delivers maximum satisfaction for the ticket price.

The Spider-Man movie opens at a leisure pace with the introduction of Peter Parker and how he acquired his superhero abilities. The pace is not unlike that of Superman but once Spiderman is born, the plot of the movie became very simple; the duel between Spidey and his perennial nemesis, The Green Goblin.

Amid all the action, director Sam Raimi tries to show the audience the human side of Spiderman. Tobey Maguire who was handpicked by the director to play the lead role, strikes an effortless balance between playing an alpha geek and action hero. He invests Peter Parker with a sense of warmth while maintaining a believable facade as someone who is still uncomfortable with his new found strength.

His growing relationship with Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) is endearing and sweet, adding the human element which is often missing in many blockbuster movies or comic book adaptations. On the other hand of the scale, William Defoe is filled with charming intensity as the insane scientist Norman Osborne and overflowing with devilish glee as The Green Goblin, alter ego of the scientist.

Of course the movie falters at some stage. There are the occasional CGI slip shots but the sight of Spiderman slinging through the metropolis, is a ballet of exuberance and coolness that the mistake are tolerated. Maguire provides much of the humor in the movie especially in the early scenes where he is still get to grip with his web-slinging prowess. Once he has mastered it, the sight of Spiderman swinging around towers and landing on rooftop grips the audience and barely let go for the entire length of the movie.

Sam Raimi is famous for darkness in his movies and this one is no different. Although there is much brightness in the superhero theme, the director just manages to inject some of his usual theme into the scenes. There is a moment, where Osborne goes around searching for the taunting Green Goblin only to be facing himself in the mirror.

All in all, the direction by Sam Raimi is superb and matches the requirements of a movie billed as a blockbuster but at the same time maintained its own senses of character. The sound by Danny Elfman is surprisingly below average but this is tolerated for much of the attention will not be paid to the score since the movie is so gripping and entertaining.
