Plot Summary:

State of Play was directed by a talented person Kevin Macdonald. He decided to move from documentaries to the thriller that is close to reality. In State of Play Cal McCaffrey (Russell Crowe) is a journalist of old school. He works for the Washington Globe and starts investigation of one young woman’s death. She was his friend Stephen Collins’s (Ben Affleck) mistress. His career has been soon destroyed after revealing the facts of his unfaithfulness. Cal is very much interested in this case investigation though he has no much time for it. Della Frye helps him and together they find out that this murder is only a small piece of something bigger. This is not the film where you can relax – you need to think properly. It reflects real life where news and newspapers give only that information allowed by the government that is not always true. This film reveals not only political questions but also personal ones. For example, Cal needs to combine his personal life with a professional one. Russell Crowe is no doubt the best actor for this role and he show wonderful play on the background of such famous actor like Helen Mirren, Robin Wright Penn and several others. There are some scenes in the film that have comic sense as well.

A thief in the night kills again and again

A man with a silencer on his gun and a briefcase in his other hand commits murder several times and it’s up to a journalist (Russell Crowe) and a Congressman (Ben Affleck) to figure it all out. Based on a BBC program from 2003, this one is well worth downloading and keeping your own copy just as I did. Look online for a State of Play movie download site and enjoy this great film.

Murder and intrigue are found in D.C.

Washington, D.C. has a high enough crime rate without mysterious killers with silencers on their gun getting involved. Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck work together to solve some suspicious cases of violent death. Robin Wright Penn, Helen Mirren, and Jeff Daniels round out a perfect cast for this political thriller. I needed to see it over because it’s so complex so I quickly and easily downloaded State of Play movie and now it’s one of my favorites

People are dying in D.C. and for no good reason

First there is a man shot to death by someone with a briefcase and a silencer. When a pizza delivery guy sees what happens he is shot also. Then a woman dies, apparently by suicide in front of a train. All these deaths seem to be related in some way and Russell Crowe must figure it out before it’s too late. This is an intense movie that is well worth watching again and again, so if you like State of Play movie download it over the internet and enjoy it as I do.

Political thriller about murder starring Russell Crowe

State of Play involves the murder of a Congressman’s mistress in Washington, D.C. That’s quite a transition from the UK and a BBC six part serial. But it works well and the stellar cast helps make this one worth watching more than once. I found I could download State of Play movie and watch it whenever I choose, I’d highly recommend you do the same.

BBC TV serial turned movie State of Play

The movie State of Play, adapted from a six part serial shown on the BBC in 2003 became a popular political thriller in 2009 starring Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck. It’s the type of movie that benefits from several viewing and when I found I could download State of Play movie quickly and easily online I did so. You might like it too.
