Plot Summary:

Dr. Martin Harris (Liam Neeson) arrives in Berlin with his wife Liz (January Jones) to attend a summit on biotechnology. Before checking in, he realizes he has forgotten his briefcase at thye airport and goes back to recollect it. But his taxi, driven by Gina (Diane Kruger), meets with an accident due to which he goes into coma. Gina flees from the scene of accident, while Martin regains consciousness after 4 days. He goes to the hotel to find another man with his wife, and Liz refuses to recognize him. Martin is perplexed, and tries to contact his colleague Cole who is not available because of Thanksgiving Day. He goes to the office of Prof Bressler, but is stunned to see the imposter already in meeting with the Prof having assumed his identity.

Martin tries to take help from Gina and a private investigator, Jurgen. Jurgen comes up with the info that Prince Shada of Saudi Arabia, who was funding a secret project by Prof Bressler, was to attend the summit. There have been several assassination attempts on the life of Prince Shada. Assassins also attack Gina and Martin but they escape. Martin retrieves his briefcase from the airport and this is when he realizes that he, Liz and martin B, the man who has assumed his identity are a part of a team of terrorists who are here to target the summit. Martin now knows that he and Liz were on a mission to plant a bomb in the suite of Prince Shada. But now, Martin, along with Gina attempt to stop Liz and Martin B from assassinating Prince Shada. He gets some information about a genetically modified corn that can survive in any climate developed by Prof Bressler. He then realizes that the real target is Prof Bressler and not Prince Shada. He alerts Prof Bressler who escapes from the hotel. Liz, realizing that her attempt of assassination has been foiled, tries to defuse the bomb but it detonates killing her. Martin B tries to kill Bressler but Martin stops and kills him. In the end, martin is seen together with Gina, leaving on a train as a happy couple, free from all worries.
