Plot Summary:

When we are talking about the Prohibition period, the name of Al Capone must be discussed. Although this person looks like he is made to become a movie character, a few producers were able to make decent movies about his life. Kevin Costner, Andy Garcia, and Sean Connery are the interpreters of the main detectives chosen to complete the most important mission in Chicago: finding new evidence that incriminates Al Capone and bringing him to the justice to be incarcerated. Eliot Ness is sent by his superiors to lead a special team that must complete this difficult task, having the freedom to choose his people that he trusts most and he thinks they are capable to follow orders. The team doesn’t give the impression of a strong group. Oscar Wallace is just a smart accountant, but without any field experience, Jim Malone is a guardian ready to retire, and George Stone must work more on his Latin temperament, being an Italian descendent that changed his name so he could work on the police force. The new established group must not only fight Al Capone, but also the other members of the police, and the press that is always looking for scandal. When the mob gangs start to hunt them, the objective seems harder to attain, and the power of Al Capone seems more and more stable.

The stories about the Prohibition, especially the one from The Untouchables a movie to download, show that this was a bad idea from the start. It was clearly for everybody that prohibiting the alcohol won’t make anybody to renounce it, so many guys having some courage started to sell booze or to open illegal bars. The Mafia gained power, got rich, violence degenerated, and hunting them implied many of the governmental resources. Moreover, the real gangsters were never accused of their real crimes, as their traces were always well hidden. However, they were incarcerated for some unpaid taxes. This also happened with other rulers of the underground world. Kevin Costner creates a great character, but Andy Garcia and Sean Connery have roles that are more complex. Andy Garcia is a temperamental person that changes his behavior easily. Sean Connery is an old guardian that is looking for the case of his life. On the other side, Robert De Niro could interpret almost anything, but when we are talking about gangsters, he is really the most suited one.

Choose The Untouchables movie to download if you want to see a great movie from the Golden Movie Collection of Hollywood. The era of those movies is long gone, and we can tell you that this period cannot be recreated by any of our modern movie industry director.
